Staffing Announcement: New Leadership at Springfield Elementary in 2025-2026

The Peace River School Division is pleased to announce that Mrs. Audrey Senft has been appointed to the position of Principal and Mrs. Claudette Stalker has been appointed to the position of Vice Principal at École Springfield Elementary School, commencing with the 2025-2026 school year.

About Mrs. Audrey Senft

Mrs. Senft has more than 26 years of successful educational experience within the Peace River School Division. In September 1998, she started her career as a Grade 6 teacher at Manning Elementary School. She then moved to Dixonville School in September 1999 and taught there until June 2011. In September 2011, she took on a leadership role at T.A. Norris Middle School as an I-Coach and Literacy PLC Coordinator. Mrs. Senft was appointed to the role of Divisional Inclusive Education Intervention Coordinator in August 2013, and remained in this system-level leadership role until January 2020 when she was appointed to the role of Principal at Dixonville School.  Since August 2021 she has been the Vice-Principal and I-Coach at Springfield Elementary School where she has continued to expand her leadership influence within the division.

Mrs. Senft is a valued member of the Peace River School Division family. We are excited to welcome her into this new role and to observe the many ways she will use her educational and practical experience to benefit the students and staff at Springfield Elementary School.

About Mrs. Claudette Stalker

Mrs. Stalker has more than 20 years of experience in education. She spent 12 years at Springfield Elementary School where she took on many informal leadership roles including active involvement in the PRSD Reading Assessment Framework, sharing videos of effective literacy instruction, and mentoring new teachers in effective classroom management and innovative Literacy and Numeracy instruction. 

In August 2022 Mrs. Stalker was hired as the division’s K-6 Curriculum Implementation Coordinator to support teachers in optimizing the implementation of the new curricula across the K-6 grade levels. In the 2024-2025 school year, she maintained her focus on curriculum implementation and also took on duties as a Divisional Inclusive Education Coordinator. In these system-level leadership roles, Mrs. Stalker has provided significant opportunities for teacher professional learning about the new curricula, has enhanced K-6 instructional and assessment practices throughout the division, and has assisted teachers in strategically supporting diverse learners in an inclusive environment.

Mrs. Stalker’s passion for education and for implementation of evidence-based inclusionary practices at the division and school levels will allow her to be an effective formal leader at Springfield Elementary.
