PRSD Students participate in Student Vote Canada 2025

Yesterday, many of our students in Grades 6-12 participated in Student Vote Canada 2025. Today we have the results!
Student Vote Canada 2025 Results - Peace River School Division
Conservative Party of Canada - 577 Votes
Liberal Party of Canada - 129 Votes
New Democratic Party - 94 Votes
Independent - 52 Votes
Parti Rhinocéros Party - 15 Votes
People's Party of Canada - 11 Votes
Looking at the Numbers...
Interestingly, the results do mimic the provincial results in yesterday's Federal election with a strong Conservative vote. Taking a further look at the PRSD student results show that, when stacked against the overall national results, the student vote showed a much closer race between the Liberal and NDP parties than what we saw in yesterday's election.
Additionally, the results from Red Earth Creek School were the only results that did not reflect a Conservative stronghold in the province of Alberta. At Red Earth Creek, it was a very close three-way race between the NDP, Liberal and Independent candidate, with the Conservative candidate falling far behind.
