Red Earth Creek Receives Design Funding for Replacement of School
The Government of Alberta announced today that they are investing in new schools and modernized spaces throughout the province. $2.3 billion will be invested over the next three years towards new and modernized classrooms, which includes 3 full construction projects, 20 design, 14 planning and 11 pre-planning projects. In total, there will be nearly 25,000 new and additional spaces for students across Alberta – 9,400 new spaces and more than 15,500 student upgraded spaces.
Peace River School Division's Red Earth Creek School was chosen as one of the 20 school projects for design funding for the replacement of their current school. Red Earth Creek is the number one priority on the Division's Capital Plan, and with this approval, they will receive design funding activities that include the preparation of construction tender documents, such as drawings and specifications.
This is an exciting development within the Division, especially for the students, families and staff of Red Earth Creek!
