PRSD Welcomes Ukrainian Families & Students to Local Schools
The Peace River School Division is happy to announce that multiple families from Ukraine have been welcomed into the Peace Region and have enrolled their children in PRSD schools. Students, staff, and community members have done an excellent job at helping them adjust to their new surroundings and we are extremely grateful for the support they have been given.
Helping families find a safe space during these difficult times is our main priority and PRSD is happy to help in any way that we can. Many of the new students are still learning English, but we are positive that our students and staff will help them strengthen their understanding in no time We look forward to having these new faces in our schools and are doing everything we can to make the transition as easy as possible for them.
We are currently looking at more ways we can assist Ukrainian families and are continuing to work together and with others to offer solutions and support.
