Pink Shirt Day is February 26

Pink Shirt Day is Tomorrow, February 26!

Let's stand up to bullying and continue to create school environments where everyone feels safe, valued and supported.

For many years, Peace River School Division has participated in Pink Shirt Day, an important day with a proud Canadian origin. In 2007, two students in Nova Scotia took a stand against bullying by wearing pink to support a classmate. Their simple act of kindness sparked a worldwide movement to promote positivity and respect.

This year, the PRSD is celebrating the bravery of those two students with our very own unique t-shirt design. Many of our students and staff will wear shirts featuring the winning design from the PRSD Pink Shirt Day logo design contest. Cheyenne Testawich, a Grade 12 student from Grimshaw Public School, created this powerful design that delivers a message of inclusive and kindness that we can all embrace and enthusiastically promote each day. Thank you Cheyenne for sharing your talents with the PRSD.
