Peace River School Division: A History Project

It's often said that pictures are worth 1,000 words and we are ready to piece together the PRSD's story.

Do you have photos, plaques or other memorabilia from the Peace River School Division, the former Fairview School Division, or education in any of the communities our schools currently serve? Would you consider donating those items, or providing us with a copy of those items for display on our building's interior walls? We have a vision of filling the walls of the Central Operations building with all the best moments of the Peace River School Division, both now and from history.

Do you have a principal's photo like the one we have featured here? Do you have photos of the buildings as they are today, or as they were years ago? Do you have photos of sports teams? Newspaper clippings of achievements? Banners? Jerseys? Plaques? If you have any of these things sitting in your home collecting dust, then we would love to see them and give them a featured home on our walls.

Donations can be brought into Central Operations to Communications Coordinator Kristin Dyck, or dropped off at any PRSD school to be sent to Kristin through our inter-school courier service. If you have items to donate, please remember to either include your name and phone number and a brief summary of who is in the photo, the approximate date, and what is happening in the photo, if known.

We are excited to begin this history project and can't wait to see your tangible memories.
