#DrivingSuccess Staff Celebration: Tanya Parkin

#DrivingSuccess: Staff Celebration
Congratulations to Dixonville School's Educational Assistant and Student Support Worker Tanya Parkin on being selected as the #DrivingSuccess Staff nominee in February. Ms. Tanya is being celebrated for being "an exceptional contributor," at her school.
Dixonville School Principal Tracy Demeester nominated Ms. Tanya "with great enthusiasm," going on to say that Ms. Tanya is exceptional at balancing not one, not two, but three roles within their school. In addition to being an EA and Student Support Worker, Ms. Tanya has also taken on the role of school librarian - all of which she does with a genuine passion for supporting student success. In fact, Ms. Tanya is not only balancing three roles within the school, she is also pursuing her education degree outside of school time.
"Tanya is not only excelling in her current roles but is also pursuing her education degree, showcasing her commitment to lifelong learning and professional growth. She consistently goes above and beyond to inspire students, cultivate a love for learning, and create a welcoming, supportive environment for everyone she interacts with. Her ability to connect with students on a personal level, while fostering their academic and personal growth, is remarkable. Tanya exemplifies leadership, compassion, and a strong work ethic, and she is undoubtedly driving success in our school community," said Mrs. Demeester.
It's no secret that support staff are often the heart of our schools, and Ms. Tanya is an excellent example of the truth behind that statement. Thank you Ms. Tanya for always being on your students' team, for your impressive dedication to not only being fully present in your role, but also your commitment to continually learning and growing. Congratulations on being this month's example of what #DrivingSuccess in PRSD schools looks like.
