Consideration of Closure of Nampa Public School

The Board of Trustees of Peace River School Division wish to advise interested persons that consideration is being given for the closure of Nampa Public School at the end of the current (2021-2022) school year.  The school serves kindergarten to grade 6 students. 

Reasons for the consideration of the proposed school closure are financial concerns in running Nampa Public School.   

Trustees invite comments, either written or by delegation, on this proposal.  First reading of the motion for the proposed school closure will be considered at the February 24, 2022 regular board meeting of the Board of Trustees at the Division’s office in Grimshaw.  If the Board of Trustees decides to continue the process of the proposed school closure at the February 24, 2022 meeting, a public community meeting will be held prior to the  March Board meeting.
