Dixonville School Viability Review
The Peace River School Division’s Board of Trustees have initiated a School and Program Viability review, as per Board Policy 15, for Dixonville School.
During the January 16, 2025 regular meeting of the Board of Trustees, discussions took place regarding the current and projected enrollment at the K-9 school in Dixonville. During the discussion, Superintendent Dr. Jeff Thompson said preliminary projections indicated the enrollment at Dixonville School will be 26 students in the 2025-2026 school year. While there is still time for this number to change, it remains a concern for the Division.

Joint Municipalities Meeting
The Board of Trustees spent some time reviewing information they will provide to attendees at their upcoming joint municipalities meeting. This meeting takes place annually and is open to municipal leaders from communities with PRSD students. During this meeting, Trustees will provide updates on various Divisional initiatives in addition to sharing how municipalities can assist the Division in their advocacy efforts.
Tow Truck Purchase
The Board of Trustees approved the purchase of a tow truck as presented by PRSD executive. This truck will be used to tow PRSD buses as required.
