Student Support Workers

Who are the Student Support Workers?

Student Support Workers work with children, youth, and staff in schools, and they focus on universal supports for the promotion and prevention of mental health. This program is funded through a grant from Alberta Education. 

Student Support Workers provide universal programming in the areas of mental health, addictions, and social/emotional learning to students at the following schools:

  • Menno Simons Community School
  • Worsley Central School
  • Hines Creek Composite School
  • Fairview Jr./Sr. High School
  • Manning Elementary School
  • Paul Rowe Jr./Sr. High School
  • Dixonville School
  • Nampa Public School
  • Lloyd Garrison School
  • Red Earth Creek School

Summer Camp 2024

 

The Student Support Workers have been busy dreaming up the most fun FREE summer camp experience for youth in the Fairview area. Each week the Student Support Workers will lead children through four days of fun, themed activities. Check out this list of weekly themes:

July 9-12: Under the Sea Week

July 16-19: Dinosaur Week

July 23-26: Nature Week

July 30-August 2: Friendship Week

August 6-9: Pirate Week

August 13-16: Science Week

August 20-23 Bubble Week
