PRSD students celebrated for perfect scores on Provincial Achievement Test

January 25, 2019- In a special ceremony held yesterday, the Peace River School Division (PRSD) Board of Trustees celebrated two students for achieving perfect scores on their Science Provincial Achievement test.
Emma Rosenfeldt and Michelle Wiebe, both current grade seven students at Paul Rowe Jr Sr High School scored 100 percent on their Science Provincial Achievement test written in June 2018 while in grade six at Manning Elementary School.
During the special ceremony PRSD Trustee Lori Leitch extended congratulations to the students.
“Achieving a perfect score on the provincial test is a big accomplishment and we are very proud of you. Your hard work, attention to school and focus in class is an inspiration to others.”
Emma and Michelle were celebrated individually as Leitch shared personalized information regarding each student.
“Your teacher shared with us that you are a well-rounded student who is organized, helpful, positive and she also told us that you are a great leader” shared Leitch while recognizing Emma.
Leitch also shared comments about Michelle that describe her as a student who takes her studies very seriously and commended her for her helpful nature and involvement in leadership activities in the classroom and for the school.
The Honorable Debbie Jabbour, Peace River MLA and Deputy Speaker was also in attendance to celebrate the students and present them with congratulatory scrolls from the Government of Alberta.
Following the ceremony, students, their families, trustees, management and the Honorable Debbie Jabbour enjoyed a celebratory luncheon.
