PRSD schools recognize Veterans' Week

PRSD schools recognize Veterans' Week

In recognition of Veterans' Week and Remembrance Day, Peace River School Division (PRSD) schools pay tribute to those who have served and are currently serving our country in the cause of freedom and peace. School ceremonies, moments of silence, classroom activities and student participation in essays and poems are ways that schools are recognizing Veterans' Week. This year, Grimshaw Public School will host the annual Remembrance Day overnight field trip where approximately 40 students, parents and staff from the area re-enact some of the soldiers' experiences.

PRSD thanks students, staff, parents and community members for your involvement in this important week of remembrance. All school ceremonies are open to the public.

Note there is no school on November 10, 2017 in lieu of Remembrance Day and all PRSD offices will be closed.
